all you wanna do is ride around sally

Tid-bits of Free People's July 2011 Lookbook.  They shot the entire thing in Austin, TX with the band The Happenins.  I can't get enough of the mood they've created, and the little video that goes along with it is way too magical.  These two pair of boots from the new catalogue are too good.  I probably would never wear a pair of regular doc martens, I love them on others but they're just not my cup of tea, but velvteen docs? I think yes.  I can just see them for fall with some wonderfully, slouchy socks all unlaced and disheveled, paired with the cutest dress.  And then I realized I have been looking at shoes online for 2 hours.  Senior collection what??

rugged reverie

The only thing good about the weekend ending so soon is the fact that I'm one day closer to next weekend.

Boston, you can't come soon enough...

gray days, gray dress

Today was one of those gloomy, drizzly sort of days, the kind where you really don't want to do anything that requires movement.  Usually I try to counteract the gloominess with an obnoxiously bright color, but today I was feeling this sheer gray number. After work, I finally finished unpacking and organizing the smallest/cutest little closet I have ever had the pleasure of storing my clothes in!

P.S. I've never been too fond of video cameras and now I've been given one to create a video documenting my internship and time in Philly.  Anyone have any ideas??

snap-shots

So I found one more thing in this big ole' world to help me waste away my time.  Its called Instagram.  I guess someone thought we needed just one more outlet to obsess over every miniscule detail of our daily lives with?? So naturally, I had to see what this was all about.  This is my week in "Instagram" if you care at all.  Most of it is documenting the magical-ness of my work environment that I just can't seem to get enough of.  Hope you enjoy it as much as I do...
Anyways, back to real life.  So glad the weekend is almost here!  This calls for some exploration.

resort love

(Celine, Acne, and Proenza Schouler)
Some of my favorite resort wear.  Work is a mix of insanity and amazing, leaning more on the amazing side.  For instance, today we Twin Shadows held a concert during our lunch break and tomorrow there will be a farmer's market.  Sometimes, I don't believe this is really work.  I'm off to sleep for now, gotta dream of what might be for lunch tomorrow.  This place gets more magical by the day.

First day in Philadelphia...several more wonderful days to come.
(Reading Terminal Market, Metropolitan Cafe--a.k.a. my new favorite coffee obsession, and a walk around downtown)

take me to the city

There officially four days till I start the internship of my dreams with Anthropologie and I am in the midst of packing up (a condensed version of) my life.  Being in between places is sort of an uneasy feeling, that frees me at the same time.  Although I may be tiny bit homesick, I'm ready to eat new food, meet new people, and learn new things...but most of all I'm hoping that inspiration will hit me like a gust of good ole' Texas wind, that I'm seriously missing right now.

Here is my submission for the URBN Intern blog.  There are a handful of us that will be blogging for our brands this summer. I'm representing Anthropologie and I couldn't be more excited!  Updates and links to various cuteness are soon to come :)
