Some snapshots of one of my last weekends in Philly. Morgan came to visit and went to Distrito in west Philly to catch the end of happy hour and indulge in the hip Mexican inspired atmosphere they're famous for. Arriving at 6:00, on a wednesday, we were told that there were no more available seats...anywhere. But as we started for the door, she insisted that there was one table available but we would have to finish our meal by 7:45. Much to our surprise the new seating arrangement happened to be located in a vintage beetle/taxi, complete with sparkling retro table. Then came the amazing tilapia tacos, yucatan fries, and sangria....at that point I was sold. We capped off dinner at home with some of the most delicious home-made ice cream sandwiches ever created. It was all pretty wonderful.

Lizzy Janssen's Illustrations: so much inspiration for senior sketches!!
Miss Moss's wonderful geometric Paul Smith groupings, so many things I want right now. The way she edits things and puts them together makes me oh, so happy. Her blog is a constant flow of inspiration.
This geometric picture of the band Austra from clever nettle. I'm really into geometric shapes and patterns right now, starting to see them in everything....
mood board 01 // pressed flowers
A day in the life of...
a girl who likes to press flowers, the smell of aged paper, collecting mason jars, and adorning her wall with anything and everything.

best of London
If you haven't seen the Burberry show yet, you're not experiencing the total state of need that I feel right now. Everything that was sent down the runway was just plain wonderful. I would wear every piece. I had to laugh a little, because the moment I saw it the prints and colors reminded me so much of Anthropologie, which probably explains my obsession with the collection.
Love the blouses, love the prints, and the colors//perfect.
The prints, the floral color-blocking, the make-up....its too wonderful. Love, love, love.
Mary Katrantzou, you continue with your feminine coolness.
And last but not least, Roksanda Ilincic. A designer I have never heard of but I was drawn to her use of this beautiful aqua color. And I'm kind of in love with the color-blocked maxis. Imagine prancing around in one of those on some island getaway?? I think so.
Its not over yet, but London you sure are turning out some lovelies.
