a glove affair

Cameron and I braved the chilly weather today and took some shots of my mohair gloves.  I have to mention that I love the smell of cold weather.  And yes, it has a distinct smell.  There's something about it that is so crisp and refreshing, and instantly brings back memories of warm coffee, hot oatmeal in the mornings, and fire places crackling in the background.  Its such an exciting familiar scent, that sends a rush of warm excitement through me.

Autumn, I must say, you are slowly working your way onto my list of favorite things.

PS--get the windswept fingerless gloves here :)

harvest moon afternoon

In honor of halloween and all things mystical and spooky I decided to do some knitting.  I came up with this take on a classic beanie and I have to say I'm pretty smitten with the end result.  It meshes nicely with the reservoir of neutral colored things that are slowly taking over my closet.  Slip on a pair of chucks and this combination will have have any 90s kid grinning all the way into the millennium.

If you'd like to own one of these bad boys for yourself, check it out here ;)

poetic

Waiting for a girl who's got curlers in her hair
Waiting for a girl she has no money anywhere
We get buses everywhere
Waiting for a factory girl

Waiting for a girl and she's got stains all down her dress
Waiting for a girl and my feet are getting wet
She ain't come out yet
Waiting for a factory girl

Factory Girl//Rolling Stones

Sometimes I forget just how poetic lyrics are until I read them aloud.  Occasionally mean so much more when taken out of context.  Happy Friday everyone...

greetings from the middle of nowhere

This is my life right now and I can't say I mind one bit of it.  Most of these are taken from my phone, its crazy what those things are capable of right?? Anyways I usually upload all things mobile to tumblr so if you're acquainted with that form of media then you might want to click on this link right here
