garden getaway

I have still have tons of pictures from my recent trip to California that I need to post but I wanted to share a quick weekend trip to Chanticleer Gardens in Wayne, PA.  Seriously one of the most calming, beautiful places I've ever been.  Next time I will bring a boy, a picnic, and a blanket and I'll stay for the entire day.  It isn't crowded and you can feel free to enjoy every inch even in the silliest way you see fit, which is exactly what Chelsey and I did.  We had so much fun traipsing up and around the wooded areas, especially when it looked like a place we weren't exactly supposed to go.  Always trying to stray off the beaten path, we had a truly full and adventurous day as per usual.  Always adventuring.  Just the way I like it.

zuma beach

Have you ever stepped foot in a strange place and felt like it was yours?  This is Zuma Beach for me.  The second Morgan and I happened upon it we were in love.  It's far enough away from civilization that it feels remote, yet just a short drive from Malibu if you need anything at all.  Don't get me wrong this place is no hidden gem, It can be pretty packed sometimes.  But as soon as the sun starts to set and people filter out one by one, we have those beautiful views all to ourselves, occasionally sharing with a nearby surfer, and that's when I really fall in love.  After all, one can never have too many California sunsets.  It sounds so cliche, but as soon as you start to watch the sun collide with the water's edge for the first time you're hooked.  These photos are my little getaway to Zuma, with hopes that they somehow transport you, wherever you are.
