I took these photos a while back of Morgan for his website. We had all these other things planned like going out in nature, on edges of cliffs, tops of hills, etc....but were pressed for time and ended up shooting them right in the living room. The light was right at that magical hour, we managed to hide all the clutter in the room, and somehow I think these are some of my favorite photos I've ever taken.
Its funny how projects like that work out. Another reminder to never quit before you even start. Been thinking a lot about this concept lately (especially after reading Big Magic) because I'm such a repeat offender in this area! I always want everything to be this perfect image I have in my head and there's a real, big fear that whatever I'm working on won't live up to that. And SO often that stops me from even trying because I somehow tell myself I don't know how or don't have the capabilities to do the project properly. Actually funny thing, this blog has helped me get past a lot of that by simply just DOing. Keep creating content, keep writing, keep photographing; all things I deeply enjoy but sometimes question why I do them because of my insecurities. Sloooooowwwwwwly, getting past all this and I can't tell you how freeing it is.
P.S. just realized there's a lot of fringe happening on this blog right now and I'm definitely not mad at it--and yes, we accidentally have matching fringe suede jackets :)
