your intuition lead you here...

Have you ever felt that gut feeling or little voice in your head telling you that you need to take a certain way home from work, or maybe you're on a roll while playing cards--you keep taking chance after chance based on some inner feeling that you're gonna win that round, or maybe you met a friend and immediately felt an energy connection and sparks ignite in your brain--you  know, those feelings that you don't even have to think twice about, the ones that just get you where you need to be.  The voice in your head that you trust.

This, my friends, is your intuition.  I may or may not have done a terrible job explaining what intuition actually is, so I'll leave you with webster's version: "the ability to understand something immediately, without the need for conscious reasoning."
I listened to the GOOP podcast yesterday on 'cultivating your intuition' and was so inspired that I felt I needed to write this post and alert the masses.  I highly recommend it if this is something you're interesting in learning more about.  I didn't even realize this was something I was interested in until I heard the episode and now I'm so fascinated.  I definitely recognize intuition playing a part in my own life/work, and I'm ready to delve deeper into this study.
Speaking of delving deeper, so far this year has been a deep dive of health and wellness for me.  I've never been one to work out regularly but somehow this year I've been able to keep it up along with taking vitamins (thank you targeted instagram ad), eating better, and even regularly reading books?! (my book club could have something to do with that)  I guess what I'm trying to say is, its not that scary!
Taking care of yourself is not as scary and daunting as it seems when you're starting from the bottom.  Don't think just do. Don't give yourself the option of saying no to taking care of your body through food, movement, and soulful intentions.  And that is all friends!

Now, here are some lovely photos that we snapped while playing in the poppy fields.  I'm wearing a favorite vintage dress I found at the Hammersmith vintage show in London.  I wish the neckline were slightly more modern, maybe one day I'll get around to altering it, but the print and sleeves are so magical I can't even be bothered to care.  Worn with some Jeffrey Campbell suede boots I scored on sale.  I will forever love an old school boots and dresses combo.  I think if I could wear one outfit forever it would be boots and a dress.
